Here’s a glimpse into some of our philanthropic endeavors:

• $200,000+ donated each year towards supporting various efforts in the Greensboro, Watkinsville, Atlanta, and Savannah areas
• Dollars for Doers Program – BankSouth will donate directly to eligible organizations based on the number of an employee’s volunteer hours.

• BankSouth Foundation – started in 1985, the Foundation works to promote the general welfare of the citizens of Greene County and the state of Georgia including but not limited to the pursuit of educational excellence, charitable, benevolent, historical, literacy and civic purposes.
• BankSouth Scholarship Program – The BankSouth Foundation Citizenship Award Scholarship recognizes three graduating seniors from Greene County who exemplify moral courage, honesty, respect, and helpfulness in both their schools and local community. Students are nominated and selected by their peers and teachers and selected by their corresponding schools.
