The 20th annual Edelman Trust Barometer reveals that 73% of employees say they want the opportunity to change society, and nearly 2/3 of consumers identify themselves as belief-driven buyers.   Trust is granted on two distinct attributes: competence (delivering on promises) and ethical behavior (doing the right thing and working to improve society). CEO Richard Edelman explains, “It is no longer only a matter of what you do—it’s also how you do it.”
