Bridge Commercial Real Estate
Our Philosophy
Bridge Commercial Real Estate is dedicated to designing and managing modern workplaces that improve tenants’ experiences and help build lasting communities — creating places where companies and people are proud to work every day. Extending beyond Bridge’s daily business to support philanthropic endeavors and give back to those in need are a natural continuation of Bridge’s philosophy. The company’s Bridge Gives initiative is dedicated to just that. Through this initiative, Bridge invites employees to join and advance Bridge’s commitment to community building through civic engagement. Colleagues have participated in various outreach including but not limited to stuffing 900+ backpacks with survival necessities for the homeless in partnership with the Danna Foundation’s annual We Got Your Back initiative and sponsoring the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk in Atlanta.
Bridge Gives offers a chance for colleagues to come together for a common goal outside of day to day to-do lists. These gatherings promote both company pride and employee retention, while fostering a deeper knowledge of both internal and extended community. By supporting the community through philanthropic endeavors, a company can strengthen connections and demonstrate our compassion for each other.
CEO Jeff Shaw also believes in leading by example to achieve these goals, as exemplified by his commitment to Atlanta’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society annual Light the Night Walk. A past Vice Chairman for 2019, Shaw is continuing to serve as the 2020 Corporate Walk Chair. In this role, Shaw leads the effort in furthering corporate development and revenue growth for the event. He also focuses on developing a corporate team of fundraising walkers and leverage relationships to secure new corporate support for the walk through the development of the executive committee. With 12,000 people participating in Atlanta’s 21st annual Light The Night Walk in Piedmont Park in 2019, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society local chapter is one of the largest in the county. Alongside corporate sponsorships, Atlanta Light The Night raised more than $2 million last year for LLS research and initiatives to find a cure for blood cancer. Participants carry one of three colored lanterns: red for caregivers and supporters, white for patients and survivors, and gold in memory of loved ones.
Shaw also served as the Captain of Bridge’s company’s fundraising team and carried a gold lantern in honor of his mother. He was joined by fellow employees in both the walk and financial contributions, and his team raised approximately $42,000 for the 2019 event.
Effective implementation of charitable efforts is greatly aided by addressing causes that are near and dear to our hearts. As a survivor of prostate cancer, Shaw also offers an inspiring, first-hand perspective on the importance of making cures happen. By involvement in events such as Light the Night, Shaw and Bridge have built a strong reputation for both business acumen and philanthropic outreach in Atlanta and beyond.
