Our Philosophy

Choate Construction Company’s commitment to the community was established with their first clients, which were 501(c)-3 Not for Profit organizations. Since inception, Choate Construction actively promotes giving back to the community. Throughout the Southeast, Choate supports many charitable endeavors that vary from office to office but all support a major underlying current at Choate: social responsibility. Just as the company promotes philanthropic involvement as a group, Choate employees are equally encouraged to become involved in causes close to their heart. Choate promotes these principles of giving and community involvement in both business dealings and in our employee’s personal lives.

“Because Choate’s corporate philanthropic support isn’t necessarily what everyone is personally passionate about, Choate also supports a Matching Gifts program, in which Choate will match up to $1,000 of employee giving within a calendar year.”

Of the many philanthropic efforts Choate Construction and its employee put forth, perhaps none are more encompassing than the events Choate has founded to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Choate has supported CFF as long as the company has been in existence; over the years, many events and fundraisers have taken place. Yet for the past 10 years, Choate has taken fundraising into its own hands with the “Cars and ‘Q for the Cause” car show.

Each Spring, Choate employees make community service and fundraising a top priority through internal fundraising and support of the event, which raised a record $324,000 in 2017. To date, Choate Construction has raised over $3 million for CF. With 120+ cars, 1,200+ attendees, and 100+ volunteers, it takes a Choate army to put on the event! Employee divide into internal team to support the show through both fundraising and volunteers efforts, driving attendees, and general support of the show. All proceeds go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which provides much-needed funding for research and drug development to help cure CF. The Foundation has been making incredible progress on this front and Choate won’t quit until CF stands for “Cure Found.”
