Resurgens Orthopaedics
Our Philosophy
At Resurgens Orthopaedics, we help our patients “get moving again” by providing excellent, innovative, patient-focused and comprehensive orthopaedic care. But our commitment to get moving again extends beyond our practice and into the communities where we live and work. Toward that end, The Resurgens Charitable Foundation was founded in 2001 with the mission to support and promote active lifestyles for people of all ages and abilities.
To bring this mission to life, The Foundation undertakes numerous community-oriented initiatives, including building all-accessible playgrounds across the metro Atlanta area. To date 20 playgrounds have been built with plans to continue adding one per year.
“What started as a physician-led Foundation has become a true passion for the entire Resurgens Orthopaedics team.”

Why Playgrounds for All?
Resurgens recognizes that play is essential “therapy” to help young people grow stronger and healthier. But for some children who need it most – kids with disabilities – there often are no suitable facilities. What’s more, Resurgens works with adults whose disability may not allow them to access a park and play with their kids. Our all-accessible playgrounds help change that.
The Foundation is involved in fundraising efforts, site selection, groundbreaking, construction and many other steps along the way to bringing the playgrounds to communities across Atlanta.
Beyond Playgrounds
The Resurgens Charitable Foundation funds a variety of additional initiatives that are aligned with the overall mission. The diverse mix incudes the Dance-Ability program through The Georgia Ballet, which provides semester-long dance classes to special needs children.
